What energy-saving actions can we take to help our planet?

Day by day the Earth has been deteriorated by the human actions, one of the principal actions is the energy consumption. I think that each person can help to decrease this problem, just if any person turns off the light of any room when they are not using it, will help to reduce the energy consumption, also it is useful if are turned off the appliances when they are not used. Maybe if just one person do that won’t help too much, but if each person raises awareness and makes this simple actions in their daily life it will help a lot, also they will receive less charges of energy consumption and will help our world.

Also I think that one important action that we could do, would be reduce the use of the car and ride on a bicycle or walk in the street, this action will help to not contaminate the planet but also to keep us healthy.

Just making simple actions, each person can help to preserve our world.

Chelsea Stadium

I would like to visit the Chelsea Stadium because it looks amazing, also I really like soccer so this place would be perfect to watch a soccer game, it seems awesome because of it structure. This Stadium is smaller than Azteca Stadium here in Mexico, but because it ubication is more expenssive than other stadiums.

It is situated in London, England so if I would visit this stadium I also could enjoy my stay in all London.

Personal Statement

I would like to take part of this program because I would like to visit Canada and meet people of other countries but mainly I wolud like to improve my english.

I am mexican and I think that I am a friendly and sociable person so I would like to talk with other people and show them about my culture, also I would ask them abour their culture and both could learn something new.

I have been playing football for more than 10 years so I would like to share my experiences in this sport I have played in USA and I think it would be a would experience to share with other participants.

I really want to imrpove my english because I think is the most important language in the world; also I would like to make some activities during the trip like practice snowboard, visit the Niagara Falls or some activities along the city.

I really hope to take part of this program because I really want to learn a lot.

Past Tenses

Hi! In the following text I will talk about some past tenses, I will explain when you can use it and I will give you some examples.

Simple Past
It is used when you want to describe something  hat has started in the past but also has finished, by example:

• My mom cleaned the window.
• I broke my leg playing football.

Past Perfect

It is commonly used when you are talking about an action in the past but you want to give importance to the action. It also can be used to refer to an action that took place in a time before another action, by example:

• I had lost my new ring.
• The game had finished when she arrived to the stadium.

Past continuos

It is used to describe some action that was been carried out in some moment in the past, by example:

• I was playing fooball with my friends.
• They were studying for the exam.

Past perfect continuous

It is used to shoy something that started in the past and continued up until another time in the past, by example:

• I had been playing before remember about my english homework.
• He had been crying before receive his gift.

Used to

It is used to indicate something that happened in the past but in usual way.

• We used to go to the beach every summer when I was young.
• He used to run every morning with his dog before get sick.

Who am I?

Hi! My name is Gerhard Alberto Ruiz Gálvez, I was born on April 23, 1996 in Mexico City and actually I’m 17 years old. I’m the younger of two brothers and I think that I am a sociable and friendly person, I really like to share time with my friends but also with my family.

Some months ago I finished my high school in Prepa Tec so now I´m in college, I´m studying Mechatronic Engineering in Tec de Monterrey, I am so excited because I know that this stage of my life will be very important to determinate my future, but also I would like to make some friends in the college, I think it could be awesome.

One very important part of my life is football, I can´t see football just as a sport, I can say that football is like a style of life, I have been playing this sport for more than 10 years, so I have played it for more than the half of my life, there I have met some friends that they have become as brothers for me.
